White Dental Fillings

Fillings without Metal

We use only composite resin fillings or porcelain onlays that do not contain any metal. They bond tightly to tooth enamel to reduce the possibility of decay setting in and add strength to the tooth structure. For years, silver-mercury amalgams were the standard filling material. These metallic fillings do not adhere well to tooth structure, eventually allowing leakage and potential decay to set in.

Many people don't like the way dark amalgams look in their teeth, either. The modern fillings and onlays we use are made to match the shade of a tooth, so they are not noticeable and make for a pleasing smile.
